Road Trip!

We headed out one cold January morning.

We had no plans.
No agenda.
No appointments.
Just the open road and 3700+ songs on our iPod.

After 10 hours and quite the car-jam-session, we arrived in a place they call Las Vegas where the buildings are larger than life, money grows on trees, and everybody wants a room upgrade.

And yes, since we took a vacation by ourselves, you will see lots of these self photos.
{this is my disclaimer}

We were high rollers, as you can see from our .25 cent video poker.
{Holla}

We enjoyed life of the "high roller" by walking around the huge casinos and enjoying delicious food that left us hungry again after about 13 minutes.

So we found some real food.
There was some country dancing somewhere in there as well.
And no, I didn't eat all of this by myself.
We split our meals.
Especially when it's a meal that consists of a half of a chicken.

And of course, we had to go to the happiest place on earth!
{Disneyland was later...I'm talking about In-N-Out}
{God bless In-N-Out}

After our fill of burgers and animal style fries
{yeah, you know what I'm talking about}
We headed south.
We headed to a place that holds the key to Chris' heart.
Los Angeles.
{I'm seeing a theme here...Las vegas, Los Angeles...what's with all the spanish? I mean, I know I took 5 years of it in school and Chris lived in Mexico for a while...}

The key to Chris' heart can be found here.
At the Staples Center.

Where the Los Angeles Lakers play.
He was in heaven.

Seriously.
It was holy.
Kobe was there.
The Lakers won.
And it was New Years Eve.

Yeah, we made out at midnight.
Then we went to the other happiest place on earth besides In-N-Out...
Disneyland!

Remember my "head shot" disclaimer?
It still applies.

We may have peed our pants a little on Tower of Terror.
Don't judge.
You would pee too.

And yes, we took a picture of the TV screen that had our picture from the ride on it.
Don't judge.
You would do that too.

Disclaimer #2:
Star Wars in 3D is really cool, but we wouldn't advise eating prior to the ride.

Minnie, Goofy and Aladdin say hi.
We didn't see Mickey.
All the kids were hogging him.
{jerks}

After a great stay in LA and San Diego, we headed back up north!
But not before Chris played a Christian song that he wrote in a dive bar in LA.

Then we were in the car.
Again.

We were in pursuit of Chris' other passion besides Kobe.
Golf.

We made some friends on the course.
Meet Wendell and Bob.
They were awesome.
And by awesome, I mean way better than the cheesy grease head chain smokers that we almost got paired up with.
God bless Wendell and Bob.
And God bless golfing in 75 degree weather.

After one last trip to In-N-Out,

we headed towards home!

We made it back to Fort St. safe and sound.
Jack was very happy to see us!

Welcome to 2012!
