As 2010 comes to an end, we can't help but look back and marvel at God's faithfulness and goodness in our lives. From getting engaged, to planning a wedding (and all the craziness that goes along with that), actually pulling off the wedding, being an Aunt/Uncle for the first time, from moving, to cars and Kermit the bus, to getting used to sharing one bathroom, new jobs, and old friends, amazing family - the list goes on and on with everything else in between, and it's hard to believe all of this could be jammed into one year!
It's all about celebrating and remembering the little things that make life and this love, our own love story. It's about finding the little things that make us smile and laugh. It's about the little things that fill the pages of our story that tell others of who God is! As we document some of those little things on this blog, we look forward to being able to look back and continue to see God's amazing grace, love, goodness and faithfulness in our lives.
Although our love is just beginning and is exciting to us, it also continues to grow every day into a deeper love and respect that neither one of us thought possible It is our prayer is that it continues to grow deeper and get more exciting as the years go by. We always hope to say to each other, "I love you more today than ever."
It is our prayer that our love is a testimony to God's goodness and faithfulness. Our wedding rings are personal reminders that God is a God who keeps His promises. Our marriage is a personal reminder that God is a God who hears our prayers (even the little, insignificant desires of our hearts that we think aren't that big of a deal - from wearing converse, to nice teeth, playing volleyball and singing together). For those of you who truly know, love and support us, we are forever grateful for your display of unconditional love and grace. You are so special to us and we couldn't imagine our lives without you in it! We look forward to what the future holds and all that God has planned for us, as husband and wife!
With Love and Hope for 2011,
Charity & Chris Majors

One Year Ago, She said YES...

Popping the question...
Chris proposed after an amazing night full of surprises!
We had planned a fun date night by going to a Stampede Basketball game on this nothing special, random, Monday night (December 28, 2009).
Chris came to pick Charity up at her house before grabbing a quick bite to eat and heading to the basketball game. Little did she know what surprises were in store...
Chris found a parking spot after suggesting they grab a quick appetizer at their favorite Indian Restaurant, Taj Mahal in Downtown Boise. When they walked in, there was a table waiting for them with a bottle of wine and their food was already being prepared! Charity was very surprised since she knows that Chris doesn't really plan anything and continued on with the evening, enjoying her favorite Indian dish and laughing with her best friend.
They headed off to the basketball game (since they love to watch sporting events together), got our tickets from will call and headed into the arena. Chris handed an usher our tickets and asked if he could find our seats and we were led onto the floor and sat in amazing seats (you could smell the players...seriously)...
After watching some of the game and visiting with some of Charity's clients that were there, Chris was "over" the game and wanted to leave (this was one thing that didn't make sense to Charity since she knows how much he loves watching sports) but she went with it anyways since this was such a great date night and they were having so much fun!
We were heading back to Chris' place when he pulled over to use the restroom...he saw the Melting Pot restaurant and said he could use the restroom and we could maybe grab some dessert! Charity, still oblivious that anything suspicious was going on gladly agreed since fondue is one of her favorites!
It was a little after 9pm and the restaurant was closing...they said they could squeeze us in as long as it was just something quick like dessert. They brought us to this great private Bell Tower room and we had some amazing chocolate fondue with strawberries, cheese cake, pound cake, marshmallows, bananas, etc etc etc!!
As Chris left to go to the restroom, Charity was happily eating chocolate and enjoying this fun night. She took this picture (still oblivious that this whole night had been planned out)...
Chris came back from the restroom with his guitar in hand, and began to sing Sea Breeze, by Tyrone Wells (one of their favorite songs that has to do with other romantic stories throughout their relationship). Here are the words...
Did I really meet her, was it just a sweet dream
That lingers in the morning, like a melody
Over and over, all through the day,
I can't stop thinkin' 'bout how I'm feeling this way
She moves like sea breeze, swirling around me
The fragrance that she leaves hangs in the air
Soft like a whisper, she's calling me to her,
These eyes have seen the most beautiful dream
We found each other, staring at the waves
We started talking and I couldn't break away
I made plans to meet tonight down by the pier
And when midnight strikes I'm gonna hold that dream near
This picture below was taken after Charity said yes...along with his guitar, the champagne and roses were brought earlier to the Melting Pot by Chris...he had planned the whole evening and Charity was surprised beyond belief!!!

As Chris finished, he asked Charity to stand up, he took her hand and knelt on his knee...

Reno Trip!
We headed down to Reno for the Nevada vs. BSU game over the weekend!
Here is a short story...
Here is a short story...
We stopped by Walgreens to load up on school spirit before we left Boise...
And headed out onto the open road.
Destination: Reno, NV. 6 hours away...
We saw funny things along the way like this "congestion" sign...
But the funniest was when Charity opened her window and our $13 Boise State flag went flying away onto the open road. We flipped around, found the flag in decent condition, until a huge truck ran it over and crushed it into pieces, right in front of our eyes...sad face...
We scooped up the remains of our school spirit, and headed onward...
In Reno, we enjoyed delicious In-n-Out with the rest of Bronco Nation.
There was blue and orange everywhere!
When we got to our beautiful hotel, (The Grand Sierra), we checked in and headed up the 21 floors to our newly remodeled room...that wasn't cleaned. We called the front desk and they moved us to the 24th floor where we waited for housekeeping to bring us a new key. This room had the beds made, but wasn't clean either!
After speaking with the front desk again, they ended up giving us $75 to their amazing sushi restaurant, and more vouchers for food credits and bowling, they cleaned our room spotless (minus the purple underwear in the closet that we found later...sick)!
We didn't care at that point...it was game time!
We got free tickets into the game (thanks James), and we unintentionally snuck Holly in with us (well, she basically walked in and no one checked her ticket)!
Our feet were frozen, our throats hurt from yelling so much, and we had a great time cheering on BSU...despite the heartbreaking loss (and for those of you who blame Kyle, in the words of Coach Pete: "You can win a game with one play, but you can't lose a game with one play...").
Here is our sad face again...we still love you BSU!
The next day...
We went to the Outlets and went shopping!!
Chris had an Elk sandwich, Holly drank her coffee cold, and Charity only spent $40 on clothes!
No, this was not the Elk in Chris' sandwich...
Chris, move a little more to your right...
Kissy face...
We were practicing for the sushi we were going to be eating that night...
Holly fell asleep at 7pm...
So Charity and Chris enjoyed amazing sushi!, courtesy of bad housekeeping!!
Then we got in our two-toned, rented shoes...
And bowled the night away!
We went 2 days in a row (this time with Holly), thanks to our bowling vouchers! We spent $1.75 and made some "young-corn" friends in the lane next to us!
The next morning, we ate some food, (we were "rearry thirstry"), packed up and headed home...
We came home to record snowfall...
So we snuggled up, made a fire, played Wii, and enjoyed another day of vacation...
It's good to be home...
