Movin' on out...

As summer comes to an end and the spice of fall begins to fill the air, Chris and I have begun the search for our new home. We have enjoyed living on Manitou in our wonderful home, but the time has come for a new beginning. We are both excited to find a place that will be "ours" from the beginning (since I moved into Chris' house after "the big day").
From here

to who knows where
Don't worry, those of you who join us for our BSU festivities, we will still continue the tradition in our new place and you're all invited (well, when we actually find a place and move)...

Be still...

As we are headed towards our 3 month anniversary, we have dared to search for our first major purchase together. Charity's xterra (named Joey) is being sold in a few days, and we are trusting that God has the perfect car for us that will be a blessing and "add no sorrow." (Joey is one of the many names that goes onto a Starbucks cup when Charity says her name...Sharon, Terri, Joey, etc etc...it makes a great guessing name game at Sbucks).

We also decided that since we are trying to pay OFF bills, we didn't want to add any more debt so we are searching for a car that will work with the money we get from selling Joey.

The last few weeks since we have been posting the xterra on craigslist, Chris has been searching like a madman for "a good enough car for his new wife." =) Needless to say, we finally found one we both liked and put a reasonable offer in on it that wasn't too far off base. We got the shaft. We got kicked off the island. We had to talk to the hand. We did not pass go or collect $200 or a get new car.

So, the search continues but our trust doesn't waiver. God is in control and He cares about the little things in our lives...even a car! We have no doubt that God is working in places we can't see and is preparing the perfect one for us! The interesting part is now going to be timing (as it usually is with God in control), since Charity wont have a car to drive after Joey goes to her new home in a few days...

I guess until we find another one,
boys will be boys and play with their toys!
This is Kermit, by the way...

God Bless America...And Chris...

God bless the men of America (and all over the world) who have the grace to put up with the women of PMS (which includes but is not limited to: crankiness, crying, laughing, grouchiness, and pain all in the span of 14.8 seconds). And somehow, those men can still make their woman smile like never before...

Yeah, it's like that...

You know that feeling of butterflies, sheer happiness
and an indescribable love that changes you at your core...

The differences between Men & Women...

Research shows that there are many differences between Men and Women. In the short amount of time that we have been married, we feel it appropriate to contribute to that research...

While shopping, a man will pay $2 for an item that he wants and it really costs $1. A woman will pay $2 for a $1 item that she doesn't even need.

Women have an obscene number of shoes in the closet and men have the same obscene number of hats.

In the bathroom, men have a toothbrush, toothpaste, a razor, a bar of soap and a towel while women have approximately 743 items (most of which the man can't even identify) - which explains why men spend mere milliseconds getting ready for the day, and women spend about 20 billion-trillion-infinity seconds getting ready for something like going to the grocery store or getting the mail.

Men have the unique ability to never close cupboards or drawers and women have amazing stealth abilities to always run into them in the middle of the night.

Women tend to adapt to sleeping in a small section of the love nest while men define the need to be a bed hog due to the fact that he is approximately two-thirds larger than the woman, thus explaining the bed ratio/sleeping arrangements.

Men have the amazing capacity to watch sports for unusual periods of time while rattling off the hundreds of facts and figures of the previous sport watching periods, and women have the ability to tune out white noise in their environment and/or multitask with reading and "listening" to the fantastic sports factoids.

Despite these differences (and these are just a few), it is wonderful to know that men and women compliment each other in the most perfect way as to show the fullness of the character of God. Life is about journeying together, through the sportscenter and shopping and shoes, through the good times and the bad, because whatever the differences, whatever the similarities, whatever the weather, we're better together.
